The Heart Walk is a way for the entire community to take the steps toward a cure for heart disease and stroke. It is designed to create hope, inspire change and celebrate success in the Denver community.

The Heart Walk is conducted by local volunteers annually to benefit the American Heart Association. Companies, churches, neighborhoods, families and friends organize walk teams to raise funds and awareness to help fight heart disease and stroke through physical activity.

Heart disease survivors are recognized by giving them red caps on the day of the event and stroke survivors are given white caps. There is a Festival before and after the
Walk, complete with free food, giveaways, health screenings, fitness assessments, a kids activity area, music and entertainment.

The Heart Walk is a free event. To make a donation or sponsor a participant, please visit www.heartwalk.kintera.org/denver .
